Senior Pastor Bob Edmunds

Born, raised and educated in New Jersey, Pastor Bob graduated from Rutgers College, received a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and his Doctorate of Ministry degree from Drew University Theological School.

Ordained to the Presbyterian Ministry of Word and Sacrament in 1974, he served churches in Cumberland, Maryland, West Orange, New Jersey and Elmira, New York before being called to First United Presbyterian Church in 1999.

Bob has had significant involvement in Habitat For Humanity as well as exposure to Presbyterian international mission work. Since 1995 he has led more than 20 mission trips to cities and towns in northern Mexico and the Yucatan peninsula, including this year the installation of First United’s third Living Waters for the World water purification system in Mexico.

An evangelical Presbyterian, Pastor Bob seeks to ground his ministry and preaching in the authority of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the creative sovereignty of God.

Bob and his wife Susan reside in the Ashland development and have two daughters and four grandchildren.
