Chris and Becca Anderson
Chris and Rebecca Anderson are excited to share their love for the Lord with the help of their love for music! With experience in a wide variety of worship traditions, including those of First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City, the Andersons hope to provide an opportunity for all Christ’s followers to feel not only capable, but EXCITED to share their faith in song.
Chris started both his spiritual and musical journey within the walls of First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City and is delighted to be back to help lead our church community in meaningful worship. Rebecca grew up worshipping in the gospel tradition and brings her love for those spirituals and songs to our church members' diverse worship backgrounds and traditions.
Rebecca most recently completed pedagogical training to become an Orff-Schulwerk certified music teacher and routinely presents those methods for music teacher seminars. She received her Master of Clarinet Performance from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Chris also received his Bachelor of Music Education from VCU and did his best to gain the attention of a certain all-star clarinet performer while singing and playing trombone with several Richmond area church choirs and ensembles.
Both Andersons teach general music for Prince William County Public Schools and love working with children. They are excited about the future of music in the life of our congregation, and look forward to bringing more children and young people to use this sacred and powerful tool of song for the Lord's worship.
