2017 Stewardship Campaign:
Enhances Growth

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.       2 Proverbs 9:11

The Stewardship Committee adopted a tree for this year’s campaign symbol.  The roots of the tree symbolize the strong ministerial leadership, the dedicated Session and Deacons and core members who support the trunk of the tree, the core of Christ’s work and the teachings of this congregation.  The branches symbolize the many stewardship programs in which members can get involved: mission work, both local and state-wide, children and youth programs, Sunday school for all ages, prayer ministries, music of all kinds, just to name a few.  The leaves of the tree symbolize the members and loyal visitors who assist in sustaining these programs and their compassion for others, without whose involvement the core would fail.

The leadership here at First United Presbyterian is most grateful for your dedication and the generosity of your commitment of time, talent, service to others and treasure to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the growth of yourself and others. Your financial contribution and the passion with which you make a commitment toward the continuation of “A Passion for Christ; Compassion for Others; Loving God; Loving Others, Connect, Grow and Serve is how together we Enhance Growth.

We are asking each of you to prayerfully consider renewing your pledge, or making a pledge for the first time. A pledge commitment affords the church leaders to render a budget for the next year’s missions and programs.  For those of you who faithfully pledge, we are hoping you will consider stepping up your pledge to assist with the enhancement and growth of this church and the passion for God’s work within it.
